CNSC Seniors/55+ Classic Cross-Country Ski Lesson and Tours

Join us for a free classic cross-country ski lesson on Monday, January 16 followed by 3 weeks of free guided ski tours on Monday January 23, 30 and February 6 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. (with social in the lodge from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.).  Half-priced rentals ($10.36*) and half-priced trail passes ($12.50*) for non-members are available. * Prices include applicable taxes.

The Seniors/55+ Classic Ski lesson and tours are led by CANSI certified senior ski instructors and supported by senior volunteers and ski patrol.  

There will be six ability-level groups with eight participants in each group:

Level 1 Beginner Group:  For people new or fairly new to cross country skiing; this group will mainly ski on flat (green) trails.

Level 2 Slow & Steady Group:  For people with some previous ski experience but prefer to tour at a slow but steady pace; this group will mainly ski on flat (green) trails.


3-5 Intermediate Groups:  For people with previous ski experience:

       Level 3:  flat (green) trails with some moderate hills

       Level 4:  flat (green) trails with moderately hilly (blue) trails

       Level 5:  moderately hilly (blue) trails

6 Intermediate/Advanced Group:  For people with previous ski experience; a mix of  moderate-steep hilly (blue and black) trails


CNSC Seniors/55+ Guided Snowshoe Tours

Join us for 3 weeks of free guided snowshoe tours Wednesdays, January 25, February 1 & 8 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. (with social in the lodge from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.).  Half-priced rentals ($5.88*) and half-priced trail passes ($4.36*) for non-members are available. * Prices include applicable taxes.

The Seniors/55+ Guided Snowshoe tours are led by experienced senior snowshoe leaders and supported by senior volunteers and ski patrol.  

There will be four ability-level groups with twelve participants in each group:

Level 1 Mobility/Health Issues Group: For people with mobility and other health issues; this group will snowshoe on fairly flat trails for shorter distances, with some rest breaks 


Level 2 Slow & Steady Group:  This group is for people new to snowshoeing or for those wanting to snowshoe at a leisurely pace


Level 3Intermediate Groups:  For people with some previous snowshoe experience or a moderate fitness level; this group will snowshoe at a moderate pace


Level 4 Intermediate/Advanced Group:  For people with previous snowshoe experience and good fitness level; this group will snowshoe at a moderately brisk pace.
