Hello CNSC Members,
What now? This is a question many have in their personal lives, at work, and for our club. The current health and economic pressures give us challenges, but our club is stronger than ever. This year we won the Cross-Country BC Membership Contest, we had the highest club points in Biathlon BC, many Cross Country athletes made impressive wins, we saw a resurrection of the Master’s ski program, our volunteers stepped forward with enthusiasm, the recreational skiers always carried a smile, and best of all you were there. Do not think the skiing is over!
We will now close off our indoor spaces as the numbers of COVID19 cases has increased and we are at the point where exponential growth can occur. We do have the support of the Northern Health Environmental Health Officer and the City of Prince George Bylaw Officers to stay open. However, we will do our part and close all the indoor spaces with the groom team still going. Our ski trails will continue to be groomed and do not forget about our snowshoe trails! I will wave from my office, but I ask that you refrain from drop ins.Do your part and keep a minimum of 2 meters apart on the trails and in the parking lot.
Thank you to our members, volunteers, directors, and staff for the passion and joy you bring to the club. I witness and experience it every day. I feel very fortunate to be part of this family.
With best regards for your health and safety,
Angela LeFebvre, General Manager
