Cash Donations

Caledonia Nordic Ski Club is most grateful for monetary donations. If you are interested in making a donation to CNSC and receiving a charitable donation receipt, we have a partnership with the Sons of Norway Foundation in Canada.  Our ski club was originally incorporated in 1957 as the Sons of Norway Ski Club and one of the objectives of the Sons of Norway Foundation in Canada is to promote Norwegian heritage activities in Canada (of which cross country skiing is a highly prominent Norwegian sport and heritage activity).

Donations of any amount can be made to the ski club through the Foundation and 100% of the funds will be disbursed to our club from the Foundation. The donor will then receive a charitable donation receipt from the Sons of Norway Foundation in Canada. If you are interested, please contact our General Manager or you can simply download a donation form from the Sons of Norway and specify the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club as the designated recipient.

Please note that charitable receipts cannot be issued for in-kind donations.

Item donations

Non-monetary donations are also very much appreciated.

You can help our Jr. Racers update the waxing box with tools that will help them to perform at a high level for this season and for many seasons to come. The Jr. Racer Program is actively fundraising throughout the year and volunteer at various events to help the team succeed. We are looking for support in our ski community to help our very dedicated athletes achieve the goals they have set for themselves, and as a team. The following items will be used by the XC and Biathlon teams at races at the BC Cup, Noram, and Canadian Championship level. All wax box items are carefully inventoried and maintained for long term use.

  • The Holmenkol Digital Wax Iron ($220.00) is a professional tool that makes waxing a pleasure. The thick beveled plate holds heat well with a ceramic heating element that heats up quickly and holds temperature precisely where you set it. Cork handle is a nice touch for a solid, comfortable grip. Temperature is easily set using a dial and the digital readout gives precise control and feedback.
  • Single Axle Roto Brush with Cork Handle ($100.00) This handle goes hand-in-hand with the electric drill and again, allows for faster brushing and high-fluro application.
