Entry Level Biathlon Officials Course

Date: Nov 17, 2019 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

An entry level Biathlon Officials course is planned for Sunday 17 November.  This course is highly recommended for all parents of biathletes and provides the classroom knowledge and skills needed to volunteer in any of the numerous, non-supervisory officiating positions at a biathlon competition. It provides an understanding of the various competition formats, Biathlon Rules and penalties, as well as the roles of coaches and officials during a competition. Upon completion of this course you will be certified as an Entry Level Official.

The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club recognizes the importance of developing officials to hold competitions and so in Angela’s words:  CNSC is excited to support CNSC members who want to take the Biathlon Entry Level Officials Course on November 17, 2019 and who volunteer at the Biathlon BC Trials and/or Biathlon BC Cup in 2020. Attendees can claim the course expense (less zone 4 fees) after volunteering at either event by submitting an expense claim to the office.

Online registration via Zone 4 is mandatory and is open until 23:59 on November 12th, to ensure that course materials will be delivered in time. Sovereign Lake is also hosting an Entry Level course on the same day, unnecessary confusion will result if you sign up for the wrong course.
