NCCP Let’s Ride! Community Initiation
Ideal for parents, volunteers, teachers and others who occasionally work with youth or adults new to cycling, this one day, in-class workshop covers the basic principles of coaching including ethical decision making, planning and organizing a practice, cycling safety and risk management, and introducing disabled riders to the sport.
This course is the minimum requirement for new coaches who would like to work with a local group or Cycling BC’s iRide program. As an alternative, coaches can skip this course and instead enroll in the Ready to Race! Training Basics course.
This project has been funded in part by a grant from viaSport BC and the Province of British Columbia. Course registration fees have been reduced by 50%. Additional travel support is available for those traveling over 100km to attend the course. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
