Thanks to the snowshoers that did an excellent job of packing Canada Cup,..
We are excited to share that the new grooming software is up!
The Trails Committee is looking for names for the new trails and we want members' help!
BC Hydro is pruning and removing danger trees under the power lines over the next few weeks. Please be careful as you drive past the working crew.
Our amazing Trails Manager, Mike Palangio, is another person who has been presented with a great opportunity. We are sad to see him go, but excited for his new opportunity. We want to thank Mike for the past 5 years that took us through world level competitions while still supporting our recreational skiers needs. Mike worked with the Trails Director to create grooming efficiencies and helped to start the kids mountain bike program.
We wish him all the best and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in the future.

The Trails Committee would like to update members on how the new trails will function. We’ve had extensive discussion, explored a number of options, and reached consensus on this plan. We are open to adapting if usage or grooming suggests it is needed in the future. But, we think we have landed on a very solid approach that respects how the trails were designed, the topography, integration into the existing network, and skier safety. The plan will facilitate diverse, new, and enjoyable ski experiences, and provide certainty for members and staff.
It is with sadness, and some excitement, that we share the news that our amazing General Manager, Angela Lefebvre, is moving on from her role with us to a new and exciting opportunity.
From record membership growth, to successfully navigating COVID Public Health Orders with her team to keep our club safe, to working with the board on our recent strategic planning exercise, Angela has been integral to our club’s success over the last 3 years.
We will miss her dearly, and it is with great gratitude that we wish her well in her future endeavors.
Angela will support her role until November 30th, and will be part of our transition planning.
Lance MacDonald, President
As you may already know, I will be leaving my position as General Manager here at Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.
While I am excited about my new opportunity, there is also a big part of me that is sad to say goodbye. I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing opportunity to get to know members and grow the club. I can say I found a sport for life. Watching all age groups from small children starfished out in their snowsuits right up to seniors laughing and jostling on the trails brings a smile to my face and warms my heart.
I also want to say how impressive and important the volunteerism is at CNSC. It speaks volumes of how incredible the nordic community is. This club is built on and requires volunteers to deliver the expansive variety of experiences. Thank you for being there. I will still be there on the trails, but now as a volunteer. Please join me this year as a volunteer. The backbone has always been the volunteers.
Thank you again,
Angela LeFebvre, General Manager

2. L2T Dryland Course (Racing Program Coaches)
2. L2T On Snow Course (Racing Program Coaches)
4. Biathlon Officials Course (Biathlon Competitions)
