WHAT?
Jackrabbits is a program to introduce children to cross country skiing. The emphasis is on having fun while learning basic ski techniques.
WHEN?
Lessons begin January 8, 2008, and are held every Tuesday evening for 8 weeks (from 6:30-8:00pm).
Saturday lessons begin January 12, 2008 at 1:00-2:30 PM and are held every Saturday for 8 weeks.
WHERE?
The Otway Nordic Center on Otway Road (west of Foothills Blvd.)

CANCELLATION POLICY
For the safety of the participants, Jackrabbit classes will be cancelled if the temperature is colder than -15 degrees Celsius at 4:30 pm on the Weather Channel on Tuesday afternoon and -16 degrees Celsius at 11:30am on Saturday morning. If lessons are cancelled due to weather, an additional night will be added in March
REMINDERS
- Parents are reminded that skis and poles need to be labelled with your child's name.
- Lessons start at 6:30 pm. Classes are held at various locations around the lit track. Leaders leave with their classes at 6:30 pm. If you arrive late, it may be difficult to find your class.
- Waxing: Leaders do not wax children's skis. Please be sure waxing is done before lessons begin.
- Rental skis for beginner Jackrabits are available, please call the CNSC Office at 564-3809 for more information.
