Eligibility: Competitors in JUVENILE AND OLDER CATEGORIES (born in 1986 or earlier) MUST HAVE EITHER (A) 2001 CCC Race Licence or (B)2001 CCBC Ski Licence. Competitors registering with a CCBC Ski Licence will not be eligible to have their race results included on the CCC Points List. Competitors (Juvenile and older) holding CCC Competitor Licences will be drawn together and get preferential seeding. CCBC Ski Licence holders will be drawn together.
Reminder:CCBC requires skiers 14 years of age and younger (as of Dec 31/2001--i.e. midgets and younger) to hold a Junior Competitor Licence (if neither CCC or CCBC Licences are held) to be eligible to race in the BC Cup Races.
Licences:CCBC Ski Licences ($5.00) and Junior Competitor Licences ($1.00) will be charged and issued to skiers by the Race Committee if not provided on the entry form. CCC Licences must be ordered in advance and will not be available for sale at the race site.

Race Entry Deadline:Entry deadline for all races is 19:00 PST Tuesday, January 30, 2001

Startlist and Bib Pickup: Startlists for Saturday's sprints will be available at Otway on Friday, February 2, 2001. Bibs for Saturday's race can be picked up at Otway between 8:00 A.M. and 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 3,2001. Skiers will use the same Bib# for the time trial and the heats. Please turn in bibs when you are finished the heats.Start lists for Sunday's race will be available at Otway on Saturday, February 3, 2001. Bibs for Sunday's race can be picked up at Otway between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM on Sunday, February 4. BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 9:30 AM ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
Sprints:The Sprint Final(heats) start positions will be based on the morning time trial. The heats will be comprised of a maximum of 5 skiers. Two skiers from each heat advance to the next round(heat). Skiers who have the faster times in the time trial will have their chose of lane in the heats. In the case of a tie in the heats, final placings will be determined by individual times achieved in the morning time trial. In the heats, the starter will announce READY,after which he says GO(within 15 seconds). Overtaking competitors follows the same rules as in other events except where "no-tracking corridors" are marked. The leading skier in a no-tracking corridor should stay inside the chosen corridor during the marked zone--the overtaking skier is required to change corridors. Skiers are allowed one false start per round prior to being disqualified. Skiers will be disqualified if they ski off course or through the course markings. Some categories may be combined if there are insufficient entries in a particular category.
Ski Marking:Ski marking will be done Sunday for the individual race. No ski marking for Saturday's sprints.
BC Cup Points:
Spirit of the North Series:
Saturday's and Sunday's races will be two of the five events used to compile points for the BC Cup Series Overall Awards. Sunday's race is part of the Spirit of the North series and will be used for points.
Selection Races:Results from Saturday's and Sunday's races will be used to select skiers to represent BC at the 2001 U.S. Nationals. Sunday's race (individual start) will be used as one of the races to select skiers to represent BC at the 2001 Canadian National Championships.
Awards:Medal presentations for Saturday's race and the sponsor's prize draw(must be in attendance to claim prize) will be at Otway immediately following the afternoon race on Saturday. Medal presentations for Sunday's race will be at Otway immediately following the race. Medals presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category(peewees and above) each day. Participant ribbons for all Atoms.
Concession:Food and drinks will be available from 8:00 to approx. 16:00
Waxing:Waxing room will be available with electrical outlets. Please, no flourocarbons in the waxing room
